Linden was born in Lindsay and received his professional training as a funeral director in Toronto. The Mackey Funeral Home is a family business and Linden represents the third generation. He is a Past President of the Bay of Quinte Funeral Services Association and has 12 years experience as a licensed Funeral Director. Linden is married with four children. His wife owns and operates the Lindsay Dance Studio. Linden's community involvement includes The Board Chair of the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation (2004~2005) and the Kinsman Club.
